AuroraMe: Northern Lights App

See the Northern Lights with confidence. AuroraMe combines real-time space weather and local sky conditions into clear visibility forecasts, a 3D globe, and timely alerts. 3D GLOBE AURORA MAP See real-time aurora activity on an interactive globe. Toggle the aurora heatmap, switch between dark and NASA satellite themes, check day/night zones, and tap anywhere to inspect or save a location. AURORA SCORE Aurora Score combines space weather, magnetic latitude, darkness, clouds, and moonlight into a 0–100 viewing score. It is a model score, not a calibrated probability. SMART AURORA ALERTS Alerts are sent only for your active locations. We factor in darkness, cloud cover, moonlight, and geomagnetic activity, so an alert means a high chance, not a 100% guarantee. Forecast, storm, KP, and solar flare alerts are heads-ups to get ready. Before heading out, open the map to confirm conditions. 72-HOUR FORECAST Hourly aurora predictions paired with weather data. See cloud percentage, moon phase, darkness windows, and temperature hour-by-hour. Use "Best Time" filter to show only optimal aurora viewing hours. Free users: 24-hour preview. Premium: full 72-hour detailed forecast with extended planning. 27-DAY TREND CALENDAR Plan weeks ahead with daily activity summaries and the best 6-hour viewing window for each day. Long-range weather is excluded because it is not reliable enough. AURORA HISTORY 11 years of history and Sun Pro insights. A best-month view and calendar heatmap reveal seasonal activity patterns for your selected location. FIND NEAREST AURORA Discover active aurora within 2000 km of your location. Distance-first algorithm finds the nearest visible displays for spontaneous aurora chasing. Perfect for road trips when conditions shift unexpectedly. 67,500+ LOCATIONS OFFLINE Search cities across 252 countries with instant offline results. Track unlimited locations with independent notification settings for each. No background GPS tracking — your privacy protected. HOW IT WORKS Six viewing factors work together: NOAA space-weather/Kp activity, cloud cover, darkness, moonlight, magnetic latitude, and optional sky-quality context.
