888 Rider is the courier app for 888 Market delivery partners in Ethiopia. Registered couriers use it from the moment they go on shift to the last drop-off of the day. ON SHIFT • Go online and offline with one tap. • See your delivery zones on the map, and which ones are busy right now. • Get delivery offers with a route preview, distance, estimated time and estimated payout in birr, shown before you accept. PICKUP AND DROP-OFF • Every stop in order, with clear steps at the store and at the customer's door. • Turn-by-turn guidance to the customer inside the app, or open the stop in Google Maps. • Confirm each handover with the customer's delivery PIN or a scan of the parcel label. • Works through weak coverage: what you do is saved on your phone first and syncs when the network returns, never sent twice. CASH ON DELIVERY • The app shows exactly how much to collect at the door and records it when you do. • See the cash you are carrying for your shift against your cash limit. SAFETY • An SOS button is always within reach. It raises an alert with 888 and keeps Ethiopian emergency numbers one tap away. • Report a safety issue from the app. READY TO RIDE • A phone check makes sure location, notifications and battery settings are ready before your shift. • Notifications for new offers and assignment updates. • Available in English and Amharic. YOUR LOCATION 888 Rider never asks for "all the time" location access. During a shift it uses your location through an ongoing notification, so dispatch can offer you nearby work and track deliveries in progress. ACCESS 888 Rider is only for couriers registered with 888 Market. Courier accounts are set up by 888 Market operations; you cannot create one in the app. Sign in with your registered Ethiopian phone number and the one-time code we send you by SMS.
