TrickTic Dictate: Voice Typing

TrickTic Dictate turns your voice into text in the app you are already using. Tap the small floating microphone beside your keyboard, speak, and your words are inserted into the text field in focus when the text is ready. Choose where your speech is processed: • Cloud: use your own API key for Gemini, OpenAI, Groq or Grok. Audio goes directly from your phone to that provider, and your key is encrypted with Android Keystore. • On this phone: download a Whisper speech model and dictate offline. Audio and text stay on your device. Made for how you actually speak: • English, Hebrew, and mixed Hebrew and English. Mixed speech keeps both languages; nothing is translated. Available languages depend on the provider and model you choose. • A personal dictionary: names and terms to recognize, corrections for words that come out wrong, and snippets that insert exact text when you say a short trigger. • Optional polishing tidies punctuation and filler words with a text model you choose. It sends text, never audio, and your original wording is always kept. Nothing you say is lost: • Audio is saved on your phone before it is transcribed. If the network or a provider fails, retry whenever you like. • History keeps each recording with its spoken and polished wording. Play, copy, export, share or delete any dictation. • Statistics show words dictated, speaking pace and how each model performs. Private by design: • No account, no ads and no analytics. • No TrickTic server sits between you and your provider. • Cloud providers bill you under your own account and handle audio under their own terms. How text insertion works: TrickTic Dictate uses Android's Accessibility service only to find the text field you are typing in, insert your dictation there and confirm that it arrived. It never presses Send. The app explains this and asks for your consent before you turn it on. You can also record in the app and copy the text instead. Choose from four themes: Paper, Ink, Sage and Ocean.
