Parcel delivery usually had tracking and alerting built into the delivery service. Normal ordinary mail does not. Mail Alert turns that around. When sorting the mail at the store, hold each envelope up to the phone or tablet camera; the app reads the name, matches it against the resident list An email, SMS or both is instantly sent to the resident advising their mail has arrived.
