Guitar tuner that checks off each string in tune, plus bass, ukulele and violin
Chromatic Tuner is a guitar tuner that works string by string: play a string, follow the cents needle, and a check appears on that string once it stays within 5 cents of its target for 0.4 seconds. When every string is checked, a summary card shows the tuning, the time it took and each string's offset.
HOW TUNING WORKS
• Auto mode follows whichever open string you are nearest to
• Manual mode measures against a string you choose, useful when a string is badly out and Auto jumps to the next note
• Each checked string shows its average offset in cents, and a counter shows how many strings are done
• Listening stops by itself when the last string is in tune; Tune again starts a new round
INSTRUMENTS

• Bass: Standard and Drop D, including the low E1 and D1 strings
• Ukulele: High G, Low G, Baritone, D tuning
• Mandolin: Standard, Celtic, Cross A, Octave
• Banjo: Open G, Double C, Sawmill, Open D, C tuning
• Violin: G D A E

EAR TRAINING TOOLS
• Reference tone for every open string

• Pitch-stability meter for holding a note steady

• 12 common chord shapes each for guitar, ukulele, mandolin and banjo, playable with one tap
CALIBRATION

• Transpose -6 to +6 semitones for capo and transposing instruments
• Hz and target Hz readout next to the needle
NOTES
Pitch detection runs on the phone from the microphone; audio is not recorded or uploaded. Play one clear note at a time in a quiet room for the steadiest reading. The tuner listens to one string at a time.
Available in 30 languages.
Neuigkeiten
New “Finish” button: it sits beside “Reset” while listening once some strings, not all, are marked (held less than 5 cents from the target for 0.4 s). It ends the session and shows each marked string’s average cents, with “—” for unmarked ones. “Keep tuning” resumes with the marks kept; “Tune again” resets them. If you stop listening while the microphone is still starting, it no longer stays on.
