Find the secret word by its meaning, not its letters. NearBoo is a hot and cold word game: type any word and it gets a number that shows how close it is in meaning to the secret word, among about 20,000 words. #1 is the secret itself, so follow the warm words until you land on it. If you like word association, riddles and a daily word puzzle, this one is for you. How it plays • Type any word. It gets its rank: the lower the number, the warmer you are. • Every word lands on a radar with the secret in the middle, from icy blue at the rim to burning red at the centre. • Work out what your warmest words have in common and try more words around that idea. • Stuck? A hint shows a closer word, but costs as much as 15 guesses. • Fewer guesses score more: 1000 points at the first guess, 500 at 26. A new word every day Today's word is the same for everyone, with a new one every day at midnight UTC. Random words never run out, so you can keep playing as long as you like. Solo, Duo and Group • Solo: play on your own and put your score on the leaderboard. • Duo: head to head with one friend. • Group: 3 to 8 players. Share the code or the link and everyone hunts the same word. You see the others' best rank, never their words, and the first to find it wins.
