Fondly: Restore Old Photos

Fondly is an old photo restoration app that helps you restore old photos, colorize black and white photos and bring old photos to life. With Google's Gemini AI, it removes scratches, dust, tears, stains and fading from old family photos, adds natural color, and can turn a photo into a short, gentle video. Restore old photos in seconds Pick a photo from your gallery and choose "Restore only". The AI can fix old photos with scratches, repair old photos that are torn or faded, and sharpen blur. Black and white photos stay black and white unless you choose to add color. Colorize black and white photos Tap "Restore + colorize" to repair your photo and give it natural, realistic colors that suit its era. It is a gentle way to see your grandparents' wedding day or your parents' first home in color. Bring old photos to life Turn a restored photo into a 4-second moving portrait. People blink, breathe and smile softly, with small, natural movements and a slow camera push-in. It is an easy way to animate old photos: old photo to video in one tap. Faces stay the same In old photo restoration, the people matter most. The app tells the AI to keep every face, age, expression, hairstyle, outfit and pose exactly as it is, and never to add or remove people. Your grandparents should still look like your grandparents. Fair and simple • Your first restore is free. • Buy credit packs when you need them. You pay once per pack. No subscription and no ads. • 1 credit = 1 restore or 1 colorize. 10 credits = 1 video. • If a job fails, your credit comes back automatically. Private by design • No sign-up needed. Saving your credits with Google is optional. • The app only sees the photos you pick in the system photo picker. • Your photos and results are deleted from our servers after 7 days. Save the ones you love. • To make your results, your photos are processed by Google's Gemini AI. Good to know • Results are made by AI. They may not be perfect, and colors are an educated guess. • Every result has a "Report" button, so you can flag anything that looks wrong or offensive. • Results carry Google's invisible SynthID watermark, and videos also show a small app tag. • Google's AI may refuse some photos, for example photos of children in the EU, UK or Switzerland. If that happens, your credit is refunded. • Only use photos you have the right to use. • Credits stay with this app on this phone unless you save them with Google. Without that, uninstalling the app or clearing its data can remove unused credits. • An internet connection is needed. With Fondly you can restore old photos, colorize black and white photos, animate old photos and share your family history with the people you love.
