How quick is a car really? Not by feel, but by the numbers that follow from its weight, its power and the grip under it. This is a performance calculator for exactly that question: you describe a car, and it estimates the envelope that car can work inside. You build the car with sliders and chips rather than forms. Drag the weight slider, drag the power slider, set how much grip the tyres offer and how tight a corner you want to measure through. Then tap the chips for the drivetrain and for the road surface you have in mind. Nothing needs to be submitted and nothing needs to be confirmed — six performance cards recompute live as you move, so you watch the figures shift under your thumb. Those cards cover power-to-weight, the 0-100 sprint, the quarter mile, braking distance and maximum cornering speed. Because they all update together, the trade-offs become visible instead of theoretical. Add a hundred kilos and see where it costs you most. Keep the power where it is but drop the grip figure, and watch the cornering speed and the braking distance react while the sprint barely flinches. Switch the drivetrain chip, change the surface from dry to something looser, and the same engine suddenly describes a different car. Any configuration worth keeping can be named and saved into the garage. The garage is a ranked table, which is the point of it: builds sit side by side and sort against one another, so a saved idea from last week can be measured against the one you are tinkering with now. Reload a build to carry on editing it, or delete it once it has served its purpose. The list stays as long or as short as you want to keep it. It suits a lot of small curiosities. Comparing two cars you are choosing between. Working out whether a lighter wheel or a power increase does more for a particular number. Sanity-checking a figure you have read somewhere. Sketching out a car that does not exist yet and seeing whether the combination makes any sense. Or simply learning, by moving one variable at a time, how weight, grip and surface really govern what a car can do. Everything is estimation from the values you enter — change an input and the answer changes with it. That is what makes it useful as a thinking tool: it is fast enough to experiment with, and organised enough that the experiments are worth saving.
