FreeAIMedia Video Director

Never miss the shot. FreeAIMedia Video Director helps you plan a story, capture usable footage and check coverage before leaving the location. PICTURE IN PICTURE Add a small commentary window to your main video from Clips. Import a second video or record a separate front-camera commentary. Adjust position, size, shape, timing and the sound from both videos. Preview and export in 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1. For PiP projects, the Resolve ZIP includes the finished composite, original videos and PiP settings. The .favd project keeps the overlay editable in Video Director. • Proof Director Live guides shot type, duration and steadiness while you record. • Director Take Lab compares takes. Match Frame helps repeat a composition. Retake Radar identifies missing or weak shots. • Continuity Sound Lock and Light Lock warn of changes in sound and lighting. Add voice notes for the editor and keep a shooting log. • Review clips, set non-destructive IN/OUT points and create a first-cut MP4. Offline speech transcription requires a compatible whisper.cpp model that you import yourself. Review captions before export. CONTINUE EDITING IN DAVINCI RESOLVE Export a portable ZIP with original clips, an editable FCP7 XML timeline, SRT subtitles, notes and available voice recordings. Import the XML into DaVinci Resolve on your computer. An optional local Python importer is included for DaVinci Resolve Studio. Export is file-based; it does not require a cloud connection. Back up projects as .favd bundles. Proof Passport can create SHA-256 fingerprints of sources and editing decisions. No account, ads, analytics SDK or required cloud. Media and analysis stay on your device until you choose to share an export.
