A real calculator. Type your PIN, press =, and your private photos are there.
Tallyvault is a calculator you can actually use every day — and a photo vault that opens only when you type your PIN and press "=".
Nobody sees a lock icon on your home screen. They see a calculator. That is the point. On your home screen, the app is named "Calculator".
WHAT IT DOES
• Hide photos and videos. Pick them with the Android photo picker; they move out of your gallery into the app's private folder.
• Move anything back to the gallery with one tap. No paywall, no waiting, no export fee.
• A calculator that is not a decoration: parentheses, percent, a running tape of your last calculations.
• Folders to sort what you hide — move several photos at once.
• A home screen widget to open it fast.
BUILT AROUND THE TWO THINGS THAT GO WRONG
1. "I forgot my password and lost every photo." When you set your PIN, Tallyvault gives you a recovery code and asks you to type it back before you continue. You cannot skip this step. Press and hold "=" on the calculator to use it later.
2. "I uninstalled the app and my photos disappeared." Settings shows exactly which folder your files are in, and "Move back to gallery" returns everything whenever you want. Move your photos back before you uninstall and nothing is lost.
PRIVACY, DESCRIBED HONESTLY
There is no account, no login, no cloud, and no server of ours. Your photos, your PIN and your recovery code never leave the phone, which also means nobody — including us — can reset your PIN for you.
The vault relies on the Android app sandbox: other apps cannot read Tallyvault's private folder. The files are not additionally encrypted, and we do not claim "military grade" anything. Vault screens are excluded from screenshots and from the recent-apps preview.
PERMISSIONS WE DO NOT ASK FOR
No contacts. No "all files access". No usage statistics. No screen overlay. No app locking. Tallyvault reads only the photos and videos you pick yourself.
Tallyvault is supported by ads. You can see your ad privacy choices any time from Settings.
Neuigkeiten
• Fairer shuffle: photos you haven't seen yet come first, so the same one doesn't keep showing up (viewer, split view and saved pairs)
• Deleting a photo or moving it back to the gallery in the viewer now shows the next photo instead of closing
• In the saved pairs view, long-press for Edit in split view or Delete — after deleting, the next pair appears
