Prayer Walk

Prayer Walk records where you walked and what you carried while walking. It works like any route tracker — start a walk, and your path is traced live on a map with distance, time, pace, and elevation. What makes it different is what happens along the way. Scripture on the trail As you walk, passages arrive at intervals you choose. A gentle chime, and the words can be read on screen or spoken aloud so you can keep your phone in your pocket and your eyes up. Every passage marks the spot where it reached you, so the finished route becomes a record of where you walked and what you read there. You choose how often they come and which themes they draw from — morning light, gratitude, intercession, lament, stillness. The library is drawn from the World English Bible, and rotates so passages stay fresh across months of walking. Mark what you prayed for Name intentions before you set out — people, places, situations you're carrying. Drop a prayer marker anywhere along the route: a school, a hospital, a neighbour's door, a place you want to remember. They stay on the map when the walk is done. Walk with others Follow people and see their walks in your feed. Send an encouragement when someone's route says something. Leave a comment. Find others through search, or browse public walks from people you don't yet follow. Your walks are yours Every walk starts private to your followers, never public, unless you decide otherwise. You choose per walk: private, followers only, or public. Because a route that starts at your front door is your address, you can set privacy zones — an area around home or work that gets trimmed from your trace before anyone else sees it. The trimming happens on the server, so the hidden part never leaves for another device. You can also block anyone, and delete your account and everything tied to it from inside the app. Devotionals and reflection Read short devotionals between walks, or start a walk with one and let it shape the passages you receive. See where you've been Your history holds every walk with its full route, stats, markers, and intentions. Your profile keeps lifetime distance, time, walks recorded, and your current streak — quietly, without turning prayer into a scoreboard. Built for walking, not for staring at a phone Recording continues when the screen locks and when the app is in your pocket. Scripture is available offline, so a walk in a dead zone still carries words. Nothing about the app asks you to look at it more than you want to. Prayer Walk is for anyone who prays while they move — on a parish prayer walk, a morning route around the neighbourhood, a long walk to think something through. Scripture quotations are taken from the World English Bible, British Edition, which is in the public domain. Prayer Walk uses your location, including in the background, to record your route while a walk is in progress. Location is only collected while you are recording, and background access exists so a walk continues when your screen is off. You can stop at any time.
