QuietLink

QuietLink is a free, administrator-approved messenger for personal conversations, with an optional weather home screen. There are no ads or paid subscriptions. START WITH AN INVITATION Your administrator creates a one-use enrollment key. Choose New User, enter the key, and set your own user ID and account password. Returning members choose Existing User and sign in. Administrators can issue recovery keys, manage members and remove accounts. YOUR CONVERSATIONS Add friends using one-use friendship codes. Unlock a conversation with its shared four-digit chat PIN to read available text messages. Reply with a visible quote of the original message, open links in your browser, and personalize your profile and chat background. PHOTOS, VIDEO AND FILES Take a photo in chat or attach a selected photo, video, GIF, document or voice message. Received attachments use one-time opening. Supported media opens inside the app. Camera and microphone permissions are requested for the features you use; viewing received media does not require access to your photo library. AUDIO AND VIDEO CALLS Call a friend over the internet with microphone audio and optional camera video. Both users must keep the app open. Calls end when the app backgrounds or the device locks; quality depends on both devices and their networks. CHOOSE HOW MESSAGES DISAPPEAR Apply a disappearance timer to future sent messages, received messages, or both. A text timer begins when the recipient opens it. Delete a message for yourself, or remove your own sent message for both participants. Deleting a conversation for yourself preserves your partner's history. Deleted or expired originals appear as unavailable in reply quotes. WEATHER AND NOTIFICATIONS Use optional approximate location or search for a city to check the weather. Notifications can show the recipient's recent temperature, or an honest refresh message when no recent device reading is available. Private message text and chat PINs are not included in automatic notification previews. The weather screen's Add Subscription button opens private access; it does not buy a subscription or charge money. UNDERSTAND THE PRIVACY LIMITS Message and attachment content is encrypted on the sending device. Account passwords, the device access PIN and shared chat PINs serve different purposes. A four-digit PIN has limited resistance to guessing. Profile photos, names, communication metadata and information you submit in safety reports are readable service data. The app cannot prevent another camera or every copy made outside it. Original files selected from your device remain in their original location. An alert already delivered to a notification provider cannot be recalled. CONTROL YOUR ACCOUNT Block or report a contact, manage permissions, and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion also removes shared conversations from the active service for both participants. Backups and independently retained copies may persist as explained in the privacy policy. You can also request account deletion through the support page. QuietLink requires an administrator-approved account and a compatible HTTPS server. It is intended for adults and personal use.
