Tap the corners you marked in the field and get the area in acres or hectares right away, then print one PDF sheet with the boundary plan, coordinate table and side lengths. Enter one coordinate and see latitude/longitude, UTM, MGRS and Korean TM at once.
A coordinate app for surveyors, civil and construction crews, land and forestry field staff, and anyone who wants to check a boundary themselves.
No sign-up, no ads, no subscription. Points and photos stay on your phone. Buy once and you are done. One file backs up all your points and photos.
■ Good to know first
· Converts current datum coordinates only (WGS84 / GRS80). Old Tokyo/Bessel datum coordinates are not converted.
· MGRS does not work near the poles (latitude 84° and above, −80° and below).
· It does not draw maps inside the app. "On map" opens your map app.
· Points taken with the phone's GPS and the sheets made from them are reference material, not survey results. A legal boundary needs a licensed surveyor.
· Location is used only when you tap "My location" or while the Navigate screen is open. Never in the background.
· No account, no server.
■ Coordinate conversion
· Enter latitude/longitude (decimal or DMS), UTM, MGRS or Korean TM, and all the others appear
· Korean TM covers the West, Central, East and East Sea belts (GRS80) plus UTM-K; X is north, Y is east
· Tap a row to copy that value into a message or spreadsheet
■ Survey sheet PDF
Pick points in order, or open a group, and tap "Survey sheet PDF" for an A4 sheet.
· Boundary plan at one scale with point numbers, side lengths, grid/true north arrows and a scale bar
· Area (m² and hectares, or ft² and acres in the US), perimeter, coordinate table and the distance and bearing of every side
· Site photos attached to each point
· Preview in the app, then send by message or e-mail, or print
■ Offset point: bearing and distance
Open a point, enter a bearing and distance, and get the coordinates of the new point. Use it for staking out from a benchmark or finding a valve some feet from a manhole. Choose true, grid or magnetic north; the app also computes the result back to check it.
■ Three norths and angle units
· Grid convergence (Korean TM, UTM), scale factor and magnetic declination for each point
· Bearings between two points in true, grid and magnetic north at once
· Degrees, DMS, mils (6400) or gon
· Declination is calculated by the phone's world magnetic model, or enter the value from your site
■ Measure: distance and area
Tap points in order. Two give a precise ellipsoidal distance and bearing; three or more give the area and perimeter of that sequence.
■ Points, photos, navigate
· Save points with a name and note, and organize them in groups such as "Parcel A boundary"
· Attach site photos (uses the camera app and photo picker, no camera permission)
· "Navigate" shows the distance left and an arrow to true north, and tells you when you are within GPS error
■ Files in and out
· Import KML (Google Earth, folders become groups), GPX from GPS apps, and CSV (name, latitude, longitude)
· Batch convert a coordinate file in any of the four formats; unreadable line numbers are listed
· Export CSV with every format (opens in Excel), KML or GPX
■ Units, large text, backup
The US defaults to feet and acres; switch to metric in Settings. Four text sizes for gloved hands in the field. Back up points, photos and settings in one file and restore on a new phone.
■ Verification
Conversions, convergence, scale factor, distance, bearing, area and offset points are checked against the PROJ coordinate library.
A sample group is included so you can try measuring, the sheet and offset points at once; remove it with one tap.
