Pinochle Circle

Pinochle Circle runs your pinochle group, from “Who’s in on Sunday?” to the season standings. Your deck, your numbers • Single deck or double deck, small numbers (a run is 15) or big numbers (a run is 150): your group picks, and the minimum bid, winning score and hands per round fill in. • Change any of them, pick how a set is scored and what saves the other team’s meld, and add a house-rules note. • Rounds or games per night, dues, and a season by the calendar year or custom months. Plan the pinochle nights • Set when your group plays: every week, every 2 weeks, once a month, or the 1st and 3rd of the month. • Line up who’s hosting, with the address one tap from Maps. • Move a night, change its start time, or call it off. When it’s off, text everyone from your own phone. See who’s coming • Everyone taps “I’m in” or “Can’t make it.” • Full house? A waitlist fills open seats in the order people replied. • Nudge everyone who hasn’t replied with one text from your own phone. • Short a player? Text your subs a link, and the first to say yes gets the seat. Play the night • Sign everyone in as they arrive, with subs and dues marked. • Pick how many tables, and the app draws teams of two and seats everyone, partners across. When the numbers don’t come out in fours, a table of 3 or 5 plays everyone for themselves. Everyone plays. • Stay at your table all night, or move tables: after each round the app draws new tables and new partners, and everyone’s own points add up. “Where do I go?” shows each player their table, seat and partner. • Not everyone needs the app: only the organizer and whoever keeps score at each table. • Each hand, the scorekeeper taps who took the bid and types the bid, each team’s meld and the bidding team’s counters. The app works out whether the bid was made or set, takes the bid off a team that went set, and adds up the totals, minus scores included. A SET! flash marks a team that went set. • “They threw it in” and “Just type the scores” are always there. Undo a hand, or tap a saved hand to fix it. • A round is four hands; at a table that stays, a game goes to the winning score. A tie shares the win, or you tap the winner. • Late arrivals join the next round or game. Someone who goes home keeps their points. • Follow every table on the live scoreboard, and your night so far (with a subscription). Prizes and standings • Write your own prize list: most points, 2nd and 3rd most points, fewest points, most rounds won, best round, most bids made, or your own pick. • Partners win together: the best round goes to the two who scored it, shown as “Norma & Duane”. • Tonight’s winners, every player’s points, rounds won, bids made and best round, and a brag card to share are free. The live scoreboard, season standings, the winners log and your stats come with the subscription. Your cards, your table Pinochle Circle keeps score; it doesn’t deal, count meld or cards, or referee. The live scoreboard, season standings, the winners log and your stats are a subscription: $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year in the US (Google Play shows the price in Canada). The price is per person: each player who wants these subscribes for themselves, and one subscription covers every Pinochle Circle group they play in. It is bought and managed through Google Play and renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in the Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions; you keep it until the end of the period you paid for.
