One-tap “Save to device” in your Share menu. Share. Save. Done.
Ever received a file in WhatsApp, Telegram or Gmail and wished there was a simple "Save to device" button? SaveLocal adds exactly that to Android's Share menu.
HOW IT WORKS
1. In any app, tap Share on a file (or select several).
2. Choose SaveLocal.
3. Done. The file is saved to your Downloads folder and you are back where you started, usually in about a second.
WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT
• One tap, no extra screens: no folder picker and no file-name prompt unless you want them.
• Save many files at once: select 10 photos or documents and save them all in one go, with live progress.
• Never overwrites: if report.pdf already exists, SaveLocal saves report (1).pdf instead.
• Your choice of folder: Downloads by default, or pick any folder on your phone.
• Works with any file type: photos, videos, PDFs, documents, audio, archives and more.
• Handles big files: large videos and archives are copied in small chunks, so the phone stays fast.
• Recent saves list: open, share or remove an entry in a tap. Turn history off any time.
• Light, dark or system theme.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your files never leave your device. SaveLocal does not upload files, file names or your save history.
• No account, no sign-in, no ads.
• No storage permission needed.
• SaveLocal uses Google Firebase Analytics and the Meta SDK for anonymous usage and advertising-install measurement. In the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland it asks for your consent first, and you can turn measurement off any time in Settings > Privacy.
REQUIREMENTS
Android 12 or newer.
SaveLocal is a focused utility, not a file manager. It does one job: receive, save, and get out of your way.
Questions or ideas? Use "Send feedback" inside the app, or write to

First release of SaveLocal: share any file to SaveLocal and it is saved to your device in one tap.
