Cross elder-vine strands with a swipe and braid to the pattern card
Sambuco Twist is a braiding puzzle built on one simple move: you cross an outer elder-vine strand over the middle one, again and again, until the braid matches the pattern card.
Swipe right and the left outer strand crosses into the middle. Swipe left and the right outer strand takes its place instead. Each crossing has to match the next colored dot on the pattern card, so before every swipe you read the card, look at the strands, and pick the side that brings the right color into the center.
You only get so many swipes for each braid. Finish the braid before they run out and the level is yours. Choose the wrong side and the colors fall out of order, and you'll need to plan your way back.
There are 15 levels, and the braid gets more demanding as you go. Later levels add more strands to keep track of. They also stop allowing wasted swipes, so every move has to count. And they add a timer, so you have to read the pattern and swipe quickly as well as accurately.
The early levels teach you the left and right crossings. By the end you'll be working through longer patterns with more strands, no room for mistakes and the clock running. If you like puzzles where one small rule leads somewhere deeper, pick up the first strand and start braiding.
