Megapari's Breakout rewards players who adapt powerup collection priority based on the current level's difficulty and how many lives remain on the heart counter. With multiple lives available, offensive powerups like fire ball and multi-ball maximize brick clearance speed and score per level, survival is less of a concern. When reduced to one remaining life, defensive priorities shift: wide paddle and slow ball reduce the chance of a game-ending ball drop that cannot be recovered from. Extra life becomes the highest-priority powerup at one heart remaining, with collecting it restoring the safety margin needed to play more aggressively again. Powerup drops are local mechanics requiring no purchase; Breakout runs offline at 60fps with all eight powerup types active from level one.
